About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled BIM Designer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating electrical design and BIM modeling for construction projects. As an essential part of our design team, you will help ensure efficient and cost-effective project execution. If you have experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop BIM models of electrical systems following BIM content standards and development procedures.

  • Create prefabrication drawings for shop and field use and assist project managers in preparing submittal documents.

  • Utilize laser scanning technology to create building models and import them into Autodesk Revit.

  • Perform clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks and Revit.

  • Maintain proficiency with robotic total stations and mark locations for electrical devices.

  • Use visualization and graphic presentation skills to communicate project designs effectively.

  • Provide design support and documentation throughout all project phases, from concept to close-out.

What You’ll Need:

  • Education & Experience: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience in electrical design using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Revit to create complete plan sets, plus the ability to visualize projects in 3D.

  • Understanding of Electrical Systems: Must be able to read and interpret single-line diagrams and electrical line drawings.

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy and consistency in documentation and project coordination.

  • Team Player: Ability to work closely with diverse teams, including internal employees and external partners.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving: A self-starter with the ability to work independently and troubleshoot challenges as they arise.

  • Adaptability & Learning: Enthusiasm for new technologies and continuous professional growth.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk job sites, sit/stand for prolonged periods, bend, kneel, and operate equipment as needed.

  • Valid Driver’s License: Ability to travel to meetings and job sites as required.
