Position Overview:

We’re seeking an organized and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing accurate and comprehensive estimates of project costs, based on plans, specifications, or design build proposals. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong math background and general knowledge of the electrical construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and organize project plans, performing precise quantity take-offs to create cost proposals using estimating software.
• Prepare detailed project scope proposals for owners, customers, and potential contractors.
• Obtain and review pricing from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with foremen and project managers to create detailed cost breakouts, generate bills of materials for ordering, and facilitate project turnover meetings.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma required; a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or relevant electrical experience is preferred.
• Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical construction principles and familiarity with commercial, industrial, and residential electrical systems.
• Technical Abilities: Proficiency with computers and familiarity with electrical estimating software is a plus.
• Communication: Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with colleagues, contractors, vendors, and customers.
• Other Requirements: Strong math skills, fluent in English, valid driver’s license, and a good driving record.
