We’re seeking a forward-thinking, hands-on Director of Safety & Risk Management to join our leadership team and take our safety strategy to the next level. What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with executive leadership to refine and champion our long-term safety vision.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, forward-looking safety strategy that aligns with company goals.
- Work cross-functionally with project teams, engineers, and field crews to ensure safety is seamlessly integrated into operations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Leadership Team—challenging, guiding, and supporting them through complex safety decisions.
- Engage with field leaders and jobsite crews to build a culture of trust, accountability, and safety ownership.
- Lead and mentor the safety team, promoting development and alignment across the organization.
- Analyze safety data and incident reports to identify trends and create data-driven action plans.
- Oversee workers' compensation and general liability programs, including claims management and insurance compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Safety or a related field.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience, ideally in construction or engineering.
- Proven leadership experience developing and implementing successful safety programs.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA regulations.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, from jobsite to boardroom.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills (Microsoft Office proficiency required).
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to travel to job sites and perform on-site safety inspections (minimal overnight travel required).
- Valid driver’s license required.
