Thompson Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Journey-Level HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for a licensed HVAC professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, providing exceptional customer service, and working independently in the field.

In this role, you will maintain preventative maintenance programs, diagnose and repair HVAC equipment, respond to service calls, and ensure customers' systems operate safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment, including air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems.
• Install, maintain, modify, overhaul, and service HVAC systems and equipment.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and determine effective repair solutions.
• Commission newly installed or modified HVAC systems to verify proper operation.
• Respond to customer service calls and preventative maintenance inspections.
• Complete required documentation and maintain accurate service records.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current HVAC Journeyman License required.
• Three or more years of HVAC experience preferred.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, controls, and service practices.
• Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and time management skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and participate in an on-call rotation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, bend, climb, sit, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in indoor spaces, outdoor areas, construction sites, and rough terrain.
• Ability to climb ladders and safely access equipment.
